February
Carnaval:
Organized
by the municipality, Carnaval in
Gostoso is safe and good fun. It is
celebrated in the main by locals with
a few tourists, who have managed to
escape the big cities, joining in.
During this festivity several carnaval
parades take place throughout the town
with the participants dressing up to
play their part. At Xepa beach, where
the parade ends, the local band keeps
the beat up by playing popular
carnaval tunes

Saint
John
Gostoso:
Promoted
by the catholic church in partnership
with the Municipality. A festival of
folklore, dancing and local food
stalls with "Pe de Serra" forro
encouraged until the early hours. The
festivities also include opportunities
to express thanks to Saint John for a
good period of rain.

July
Friendly
Rodeo:
On July
16th homage is paid to the cowboys of
the region. An event which has become
part of the tradition and for this
reason is included in the calendar of
festivities celebrating the
Independence of the town.
Festival
of
Emancipation:
July
16th commemorates the Municipality's
Independence Day. Celebrations take
place throughout the week (July 16th
to 22nd) with cultural and sporting
events, including a traditional donkey
cart race to celebrate the
day

September
Radioterapia:
22nd
Septembro, at 8pm, at restaurant Urca
do Tubarâo. Exposition of antique
radios in a night of much poetry,
prose and laughter. Introduced
by Edson, Minister of Cachaça, of Urca
do Tubarão.
Sao
Miguel Arcanjo
Festivity:

September - 9 days of religious and
social festivities. The archdiocese of
Natal, Bom Jesus dos Navegantes Parish
and São Miguel Arcanjo
church invite you to celebrate
September 29th, the day of Aracanjo
Gabriel, patron saint of São Miguel
since XIX century. For more
information pick up the festivity
folder at the local Catholic
church.

October Jeep
Club of Rio Grande do Norte Outing: The club
is an association of offroad lovers that has its core
set on family values. The association is composed
by its members and directors that gathered weekly at
the Yatch Clube in
Natal. The gatherings emphasises the family life and activities such as family
offroad outings that sometimes has a filantropic background.
According Mr. Jorinaldo, one of the directors, the offroad outings become more
exciting when the terrain is very bad.
The main activities of the club are:
Newcomers Baptism , Mid-night King,
Jeep Show, outings challenge on mountaneous
terrain.

New Year's Eve:
The new
year is brought in in style with an
excellent firework display on Xepa
beach.
