Privately owned taxis operate between Sao Miguel do Gostos and Natal. Prices are currently from R$15,00 for a shared taxi (the price may increase depending on where your destination in Natal is) and R$150.00 for a taxi exclusively for your own use to the airport. There is a moto-taxi point close by the catholic church, near the Mother's Club, on Avenida dos Arrecifes. At the moment they charge R$ 1,00 for transport in the central area of the municipality. For other locations agree a price before you set off.

The post office, which is located on the junction of Avenida dos Arrecifes and Rua Praia da Xêpa, is open between 8:00am and 12:00pm and 2.00pm and 5.00pm from Monday to Friday.

Bank of Brasil operates an ATM which only accepts its own cards. Caixa Ecomonica also operates an ATM. Bradesco bank transactions can be made at the Post Office. All of these banking institutions are located on Avenida dos Arrecifes, in the center of town, close to the Health Center. The Bank of Brasil in Touros, which is about 30 minutes drive from Sao Miguel do Gostoso, is open from 9:00am to 1.00pm accepts major international credit/debit cards. (084) is the area code for São Miguel do Gostoso. Public telephones require telephone cards which can be purchased from the Post Office and various supermarkets and restaurants around the town. There is currently no mobile phone reception in Sao Miguel do Gostoso.

It is best to change foreign currency in Natal since there are currently no facilities for currency exchange in Sao Miguel do Gostoso. The Bank of Brasil in Touros, which is about 30 minutes drive from Sao Miguel do Gostoso, is open from 9:00am to 1.00pm, and although it does not operate a currency exchange desk it does accept major international credit/debit cards. The municipality health center provides dental, clinical, emergency and laboratory services. At the weekends there are on-duty doctors 24-hours. For more serious health cases there is a hospital in Touros, about 30 minutes drive from Sao Miguel do Gostoso. More comprehensive hospital services are available in Natal.

Fuel such as gasoline, methanene and diesel can be found at the petrol station on Avendia dos Arrecifices near the entrance to Sao Miguel town. It offers services from 06.00am to 8.00pm. Credit cards are accepted although there has been cases in the past of this service being temporarily suspended.

There are currently two pharmacies located on Avenida dos Arrecifes in the center of town close to the health center. They close at 8.00pm.

Both the catholic church and the Assembly of God offer celebrations mid-week starting at 6.00pm and on the weekends in both the mornings and in the evenings.
