PLANE Arriving by Plane Augusto Severo International Airport is located 18km from downtown Natal in Panamarim and about the same distance from Ponta Negra, the most touristy part of Natal.The airport is modern, clean and welcoming and has several restaurants, bars and shops. There is also a Tourist Information Center (Tel. 084-643-1811) open daily from 9am to 5pm, a currency exchange office and post office at the airport. CAR Driving from Natal Sao Miguel do Gostoso is located about 110km north of Natal and has easy access via route BR-101. In Natal you take Avenida Bernardo Vieira in the direction of Touros and continue as far as Km 95. Soon afterwards turn left at the junction signposted to Sao Miguel do Gostoso. After about 15 km on route RN-221 you will arrive on the town's main road - Rua Principal or Avenida dos Arrecifes. When you reach the Post Office you are in the center of town. Driving from Mossoro From Mossóro you take route 304 to João Câmara. In João Câmara follow the signs for Touros and continue as far as Km 95. Soon afterwards turn left at the junction signposted to Sao Miguel do Gostoso. After about 15 km on route RN-221 you will arrive on the town's main road - Rua Principal or Avenida dos Arrecifes. R$20.00 per person) from Sao Miguel do Gostoso to Natal. These shared taxis generally leave between 5am and 7am and can also be pre-booked. Taking a taxi to and from Touros To travel to and from Touros you can pick up a shared van or a moto-taxi. The taxis leave from the post office in Gostoso and form the Bank of Brasil and the public hospital, and other locations, in Touros. You can pick up a moto-taxi in Gostoso in front of the catholic church on Avenida dos Arrecifes. |
